Jahiliyah Renaissance amongst Malaysian Muslims

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.
I refer to the latest
report from Khaleej Times Online which quotes this nation's Sports Minister
Azalina Othman who is reported to have said that 'Muslim sportswomen do not have
to cover up!'
She must be unique and 'exempted' from the Commandment of Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala as He orders all 'Believing Women' in Surah An Nur Verse 31 :
And
say to the faithful (believing) women to lower their gazes, and to guard their
private parts, and not to display their beauty except what is apparent of it,
and to extend their headcoverings (khimars) to cover their bosoms, and not to
display their beauty except to their husbands, or their fathers, or their
husband's fathers, or their sons, or their husband's sons, or their brothers, or
their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their womenfolk, or what their
right hands rule (slaves), or the followers from the men who do not feel sexual
desire, or the small children to whom the nakedness of women is not apparent,
and not to strike their feet (on the ground) so as to make known what they hide
of their adornments. And turn in repentance to God together, O you the faithful,
in order that you are successful.
Surah al-Ahzab
verse 59 reads:
O
Prophet! Say to your wives and your daughters and the women of the faithful to
draw their outergarments (jilbabs) close around them; that is better that they
will be recognized and not annoyed. And God is ever Forgiving, Gentle.

I know that the particular Malaysian Sports Minister is not ladylike in person
and that she's used to be as she is but hello...one who is a Muslimah must not
spew forth such a ridiculous statement like that and think that she can get away
with it!
If she is a Kaffir, I can accept that ; as a Kaffir is not obliged to submit to
the Commandment of Allah Azza Wa Jalla, but she is as we understand a Muslim
female, and obliged to cover her aurat. By their actions, you shall know them.
Whether they are truly Muslims or Munafiks?
It's sheer stupidity nowadays for people amongst the Ummah to think that they
can do as they please as they are people in power and position and whatever they
want to say, they can just spew it forth and no one will dare to castigate them
or take them to task?
This is the result of the Malaysian Muslims in the Government who although they
claim to be an Islamic administration, do not actually practice the faith in its
totality and just put up a sham of being an Islamic nation!
If this is what they mean by propagating their concept of 'Islam Hadhari' which
to me is a sheer innovation , trying to outdo the Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi
Wassallam but really ending in screwing up the faith in its practices and
understanding, well..I say 'No thank you!' to these hypocrites.
They can forget getting any support from those of us true Muslims, who try to
live as best as we can according to what Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and
Rasulullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam enjoin upon us.
I do not claim to be a perfect, sin free Muslim but Wallahi Wabillahi , I will
not let those who try to make a mockery of my faith go by without my protesting
against them and their likes as best as I can within the rights I have as a
fellow citizen and as a Muslim blogger!
The present Malaysian Government under Abdullah Badawi looks like its all set to
go bring about a 'Jahiliyyah Renaissance' amongst the ignorant Muslim masses by
the way they allow such preposterous statements from their Cabinet Ministers and
irresponsible 'tidak apathy' starting to ruin this country!
I wonder if this is not the start to the slide of the Malaysian Muslims
especially those in government to bring about the collapse of the Ummah here
with their lackadaisical attitude towards the practice of Islam in this land?
If this is their way of promoting Islam Hadhari, then just wait for the
consequences of their words and inactions to come home to roost.
May the Muslims in Malaysia be aware of the wrong that these people are doing
and stay away from supporting such munafiqs from ruling over us in the future.
You have a choice. Obey Allah Almighty God or end up as stooges to those who
advocate a hedonistic existence that will take them and their supporters to you
know where.
Na'uzubillahi min zalik! May the misleaders come to their senses or get their
dues soon! Amin!
