What is the mission of Islam & my life? Mu` meneen Brothers and Sisters, As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah`s Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you) One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question: 1.what is the mission of islam? 2.what is the mission of my life? 3.what do i want to be? 4.and how to go about it. Answer: What is the mission of Islam In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers. Respected brother in Islam, the truth is that it would take a volume of books to truly do justice to your questions! What we can do here on our humble forum is give you the ‘point-blank’ response to your questions from the Glorious Quran itself….and if you need further clarifications on any aspect of the response, you may write to us and we will strive to the best of our ability to respond to your queries. Q-1.what is the mission of Islam? Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 9 Surah Taubah verse 33: 33 It is He (Allah) who hath sent His Messenger (Prophet Mohamed (saws)) with guidance and the religion of Truth (Al-Islam) to proclaim it over all religions, even though the pagans may detest (it). Q-2: what is the mission of my life? Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 51 Surah Dhariyat verse 56: I (Allah) have not created the jinn and men except for this that they should worship Me alone. Q-3: what do I want to be? Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 22 Surah Hajj verses 77-78: 77 O ye who believe! Bow down, prostrate yourselves, and adore your Lord; and do good; that ye may prosper. 78 And strive in His cause as ye ought to strive (with sincerity and under discipline): He has chosen you and has imposed no difficulties on you in religion; it is the cult of your father Ibraheem. It is He Who has named you Muslims both before and in this (Glorious Quran); that the Messenger may be a witness for you, and ye be witnesses for mankind! So establish regular Prayer, give regular charity, and hold fast to Allah! He is your Protector; the Best to protect and the Best to help! Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 9 Surah Taubah verses 111-112: 111 Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the Garden (of Paradise ): they fight in His Cause and slay and are slain: a promise binding on Him in Truth through the Torah, The Injeel and the Quran: and who is more faithful to his covenant than Allah? Then rejoice in the bargain which ye have concluded: that is the achievement supreme. 112 Those that turn (to Allah) in repentance: that serve Him and praise Him; that wander in devotion to the Cause of Allah; that bow down and prostrate themselves in prayer; that enjoin good and forbid evil; and observe the limits set by Allah; (these do rejoice). So proclaim the glad tidings to the believers. Q-4: and how to go about it. Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 185: Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was sent down: this Book is a Perfect Guidance for mankind and consists of clear Teachings which show the Right Way , and are a Criterion of the Truth and falsehood. Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 18 Surah Kahf verse 1-3: All praise is for Allah Alone, Who has sent down this Book to His Servant (Mohamed (saws), and assigned nothing crooked to it. This Book says everything directly, so that he may warn the people of the severe chastisement of Allah and give good news to the believers, who do righteous deeds, that they will have an excellent reward. Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 43 Surah Zukhruf verses 43-44: So, hold fast to the Book that has been revealed to you, you are surely on the Siraat al Mustaqeem. The fact is that this book is a great honor for you and your people, and soon you shall be CALLED TO ACCOUNT for it. Respected brother, the one and only way to achieve salvation in this world and the Hereafter is to read, study, understand, and wholeheartedly and unconditionally accept, obey, follow, and implement every guidance of the Glorious Quran in one’s lives…..it is expected that this ‘Path’ will lead ‘Straight’ to the ‘Doors of Mercy’ of the Lord Creator, Most Majestic, Most Supreme, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be assured of never ever being misled; but if one believes, obeys and follows any other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be assured of being led astray. Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
